Rating

While I'll give you my rating scheme, I expect that you'll never see anything much below 2.5 stars here, as I don't usually manage to finish books that I dislike that much. And why do I use a rating scheme with fractional stars? Because I use The Storygraph, which uses that rating scheme.

• 5 stars - Amazing, tempted to immediately reread
• 4 stars - Enjoyed, would read more by author
• 3 stars - Okay but had significant frustrations
• 2 stars - Finished but wouldn't read author again
• 1 star - I regret reading it

As a writer, I really dislike saying that someone else's work is bad, so please, while reading these reviews, keep in mind that these are based on how well the book fits my preferences. These reviews are not a commentary on how much others would like the book or something excessive like the value of the author as a person.
